The accounting major is designed to prepare students for career opportunities in accounting. The undergraduate degree requires business courses that strengthen graduates’ abilities to serve organizations in the broader capacity expected of an accountant. The liberal arts curriculum lends distinction to the Augustana accounting major. Our small class sizes give students the opportunity to interact with our faculty on a daily basis, maximizing their individual learning experiences. Students interested in preparing to take the CPA examination should consider completing our master of professional accountancy (MPA) program. This program meets the requirements of the South Dakota State Board of Accountancy and others that have elected the 150-hour educational requirement to sit for the CPA exam. |
